About The Position

The Behavioral Health Clerk provides clerical and administrative support to the Behavioral Health Department to ensure efficient daily operations. This role is responsible for maintaining records, scheduling appointments, processing documentation, and supporting communication between staff, patients, and outside agencies while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1 year of clerical or administrative experience preferred
  • Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or correctional settings preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
  • Professional demeanor and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Basic knowledge of office equipment and computer systems
  • Provides a positive and professional representation of CFG Health Systems, LLC.
  • Promotes a culture of safety for patients and employees through proper identification, reporting, documentation, and prevention
  • Maintains competency and knowledge of current standards of practice, trends, and developments in related scope of job role or practice
  • Adheres to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities
  • Completes required orientation as directed by the facility
  • Follows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment
  • Follows facility and CFG Health Systems Occurrence Protocol
  • Upholds HIPAA and PREA regulations
  • Punctual and dependable for assigned/confirmed shifts
  • Maintains security clearance for the assigned facility

Responsibilities

  • Provide clerical support to Behavioral Health staff and leadership
  • Maintain and organize patient and departmental records
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and evaluations
  • Enter and update information accurately in electronic systems
  • Prepare, file, scan, and distribute documents as needed
  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and direct communications appropriately
  • Track and maintain reports, logs, and departmental documentation
  • Coordinate communication between behavioral health staff, medical staff, and facility personnel
  • Ensure confidentiality of patient and facility information in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies
  • Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and data collection as assigned
  • Order and maintain office supplies and materials
  • Participate in required trainings and staff meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
