About The Position

This individual is responsible for providing therapeutic assistance to patients and functions as a direct liaison to the Director of Counseling regarding the status of the therapeutic community.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training offered by facility).
  • Current driver’s license—Good DMV record.
  • Knowledge of 12-step recovery programs.
  • Ability to work with male/female, adult (18-over) substance abuse/dually diagnosed/opiate dependent population.
  • Must be able to work with culturally diverse populations.

Nice To Haves

  • One or more years’ experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
  • 6 months experience performing the duties of a BHA II preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic assistance to patients.
  • Serve as a direct liaison to the Director of Counseling regarding the status of the therapeutic community.
  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
