About The Position

Provide basic patient care under the direction of a professional nurse. Under the direct supervision of a professional nurse, perform and assist with various tasks related to ECT including basic patient care, direct and indirect diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Provide service to the following age population(s): older adults and adults in a manner that demonstrate understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority. Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent along with at least 12 college credits required.
• Two or more years’ experience in Human Services Field; OR Associate’s Degree with major in human services field and two or more years’ experience in human services field; OR Bachelor’s Degree with major in human services field and one year of experience in human services field.
• ACLS Certification and IV Certification.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be based on state or facility.
• May require a valid state driver's license for some facilities.

Nice To Haves

• EMT or paramedic experience preferred.
