Behavioral Health Assistant - Residential Per-Diem
About The Position
Horizon Village is seeking a Behavioral Health Assistant to join their team. This role offers a supportive, team-based work environment with a seamless onboarding experience. The Behavioral Health Assistant will perform hourly building rounds to ensure patient safety, complete room searches, administer toxicology screenings, supervise wellness and family group activities, guide patients through recovery, and transport patients to medical appointments or other facilities. Requirements
- An Associate’s degree and 1 year of behavioral health or healthcare work experience required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of behavioral health or healthcare work experience required.
- A clean, valid, NYS driver’s license, and three years of driving experience as a licensed driver.
Responsibilities
- Perform hourly building rounds to ensure patient safety.
- Complete room searches throughout the facility.
- Administer toxicology screenings.
- Supervise wellness and family group activities.
- Guide patients through the challenges of recovery.
- Transport patients to medical appointments or other facilities and back as needed.
