About The Position

The Behavior Treatment Specialist supports the Ingham Academy and Horizon Programs by engaging with students, helping them to maximize their strengths, build assets for successful community-based living. You will work directly with groups of students through regularly planned structured group activities such as recreational therapy, special development groups, and study hours. Ingham Academy is a day treatment program for adjudicated youth. It gives youth involved in the court system a second chance at a high school education.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Solid history working with students
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Chauffeur's license

Responsibilities

  • Engage with students to help them maximize their strengths and build assets for successful community-based living.
  • Work directly with groups of students through regularly planned structured group activities such as recreational therapy, special development groups, and study hours.
  • Transport students to and from Ingham Academy, appointments, and/or other activities.
