Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and run if needed for short increments.
  • Genuine passion for working with individuals on the autism spectrum and a strong desire to make a positive impact in their lives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport and establish trust with the individuals you support.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a Behavior Therapist/Registered Behavior Therapist is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using software or tools to collect and analyze data related to behavior progress is a plus.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Central Reach or other similar software will be advantageous in documenting and tracking client progress effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with children on the autism spectrum, implementing evidence-based interventions and strategies to help them develop social, communication, and behavioral skills.
  • Provide direct one-on-one therapy sessions.
  • Collect data on behavior progress.
  • Assist with skill acquisition in areas such as communication, social interactions, and daily living skills.
  • Collaborate and communicate with a team of professionals, including Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), to ensure consistency and effectiveness in treatment plans.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for the children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Accurately document and report on each session's progress.
