About The Position

The Behavior Therapist/Registered Behavior Therapist position at RISE UP FOR AUTISM offers an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals with autism. In this role, you will work directly with children on the autism spectrum, implementing evidence-based interventions and strategies to help them develop social, communication, and behavioral skills. Your efforts will be crucial in promoting their independence and enabling them to reach their full potential. The position provides a competitive pay rate, reflecting your qualifications and experience, along with ongoing training and support from experts in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). You will be part of a dynamic and passionate team dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with autism and their families. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing direct one-on-one therapy sessions, collecting data on behavior progress, and assisting with skill acquisition in areas such as communication, social interactions, and daily living skills. You will collaborate and communicate with a team of professionals, including Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), to ensure consistency and effectiveness in treatment plans. Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for the children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being, is also a key aspect of the role. Requirements

  • Genuine passion for working with individuals on the autism spectrum and a strong desire to make a positive impact in their lives
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport and establish trust with the individuals you support
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to run if needed for short increments

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a Behavior Therapist/Registered Behavior Therapist is preferred
  • Proficiency in using software or tools to collect and analyze data related to behavior progress is a plus
  • Familiarity with tools such as Central Reach or other similar software

Responsibilities
