About The Position

As a Behavior Therapist/Registered Behavior Therapist at RISE UP FOR AUTISM, you will be passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with autism. Your role involves working directly with children on the autism spectrum, implementing evidence-based interventions and strategies to help them develop social, communication, and behavioral skills. This position is crucial in promoting their independence and enabling them to reach their full potential. You will receive ongoing training and support from a team of experts in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing individualized behavior intervention plans, providing direct one-on-one therapy sessions, collecting data on behavior progress, and assisting with skill acquisition in areas such as communication, social interactions, and daily living skills. You will collaborate and communicate with a team of professionals, including Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), to ensure consistency and effectiveness in treatment plans. Your role also involves maintaining a safe and supportive environment for the children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being, and accurately documenting and reporting on each session's progress. Requirements

  • Genuine passion for working with individuals on the autism spectrum
  • Strong desire to make a positive impact in their lives
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport and establish trust with the individuals you support
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to run if needed for short increments

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a Behavior Therapist/Registered Behavior Therapist
  • Proficiency in using software or tools to collect and analyze data related to behavior progress
  • Familiarity with tools such as Central Reach or other similar software

Responsibilities
