About The Position

Powerback is seeking a passionate and dedicated Behavior Technician to improve the lives of children with autism. This role involves an intense 40-hour paid training program to learn and implement Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Therapy. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Behavior Technician (RBT) will use ABA techniques to encourage, support, and challenge children to reach new milestones through skill acquisition and behavior modification. Powerback is a leader in physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapies, helping older adults stay active and thrive, and providing essential therapy for children at home and in school. With over 38 years of service, Powerback delivers personalized care in skilled nursing centers, assisted and independent living facilities, outpatient clinics, and home-based care. Requirements

  • 18 years old with a HS Diploma or GED.
  • Passion for working with children, especially those with neuro-divergent behaviors.
  • Minimum 1 year working with children.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Completion of 40 hour Registered Behavior Technician training. If training has not been previously completed, training will be provided by Powerback Pediatrics.
  • Willingness to obtain RBT certification through BACB.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering one-on-one ABA therapy services to children with autism.
  • Encourage, support, and challenge these children to reach new milestones by teaching new skill acquisition and behavior modification.
  • Works 1:1 with a child in performing ABA therapy, following the guidance in the behavior treatment plan and under the direction of a supervising clinician.
  • Ensures all billing is submitted in a timely fashion and the documentation accurately supports the services rendered.
  • Updates working availability in the EMR platform and communicates availability changes with their Client Advocate.
  • Communicates regularly with Client Advocate and Supervisor as it relates to assigned client(s).
  • Complies with and follows the BACB code of ethics as it relates to service delivery and professionalism.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
