About The Position
The Lighthouse ABA is seeking an experienced Behavior Technician (BT) to provide 1:1 ABA services for a young child (early elementary age) in the Smithfield/Selma, NC area. The client is a young child with an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis, presenting with sensory sensitivities, impulsivity, and safety-awareness needs that require a BT with hands-on experience managing these behaviors.
Requirements
- Active RBT certification (or in-progress with plan to complete).
- Prior direct experience working with young children on the autism spectrum, particularly with sensory-related and safety-related behavior support.
- Comfortable implementing a BIP under BCBA supervision.
- Reliable transportation to the Smithfield/Selma area.
- Strong communication skills with families and the clinical team.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 ABA services for a young child with an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis.
- Implement a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) under BCBA supervision.
- Manage behaviors including sensory sensitivities, impulsivity, and safety-awareness needs.
- Communicate effectively with families and the clinical team.
