About The Position

Northway Academy is seeking compassionate individuals to join their team as Behavior Technicians. This role focuses on supporting children with autism through early intervention programs. You will implement therapy plans and behavior strategies, teach essential life skills, and help manage behaviors and transitions to school settings. We encourage applicants from various backgrounds, including those with experience as a teacher, paraprofessional, coach, nanny, babysitter, caregiver, CNA, camp counselor, or in retail or hospitality. Experience supporting a child or family member with autism is also valued. No prior ABA experience is required, as comprehensive training is provided. The ideal candidate possesses compassion, a willingness to learn, and a passion for helping others.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate program in a mental health discipline or hold a master’s degree in a mental health field
  • Obtained a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in behavioral health, child development or related fields and have 6,000 hours of paid/clinical experience delivering Applied Behavior Analysis services
  • Enrolled in OR hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in behavioral health, child development or related fields (mental health, special education, social work, psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy)
  • Hold an associate’s degree from an accredited institution in behavioral health, child development or related fields (mental health, special education, social work, psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy) and at least 2,000 hours of supervised clinical experience (including but not limited to experience as a DSP, PCA, Paraprofessional)
  • Possess a high school diploma (or GED) and have 4,000 hours of supervised clinical experience (equivalent to 2 years of full-time experience, including but not limited to experience as a DSP, PCA, Paraprofessional)
  • Fluent in a non-English speaking language or certified by a tribal nation
