About The Position

Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). They use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. Comprehensive training is provided, including for candidates without prior experience. The role involves active work with children who may be unpredictable or confrontational, and requires frequent movement and, at times, carrying children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds. The position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children and their families.

Requirements

• Be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Be patient and compassionate, and work well in a team environment.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and complete a tuberculosis test if one has not been completed within the last year.
• Pass a pre-employment background check.
• Be able to move through positions and activities including sitting, squatting, and bending.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Obtain Registered Behavior Technician certification after completing onboarding.
