About The Position

We are seeking two experienced Behavior Technicians (BTs) to join our Ventura Center team in a unique 2:1 staffing model, providing intensive support for a young child with significant behavioral and skill-development needs. This role is ideal for BTs who have experience working with children who engage in severe challenging behaviors and who are confident implementing behavior intervention plans in a highly collaborative environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with a dedicated clinical team, receive ongoing support from supervising BCBAs, and make a measurable difference in a child's quality of life.

Requirements

High school diploma required
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working as a Behavior Technician or RBT.
Experience supporting children who exhibit severe challenging behaviors, including aggression, self-injurious behavior, property destruction, elopement, or other high-intensity behaviors.
Received crisis prevention training
Ability to remain calm, patient, and therapeutic during behavioral escalation.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Human Development, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Implement individualized behavior intervention programs under the supervision of a BCBA.
Provide direct 2:1 support for a child with significant behavioral challenges.
Collect accurate data on client goals and behavior targets.
Support skill acquisition across communication, social, daily living, and self-regulation domains.
Utilize evidence-based behavior management and de-escalation strategies.
Collaborate with supervisors, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency of treatment.
Maintain professionalism, safety awareness, and adherence to clinical protocols.
