About The Position

North Shore Pediatric Therapy is hiring entry-level Behavior Technicians at its Bucktown location in Chicago. Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with autistic children ages 2–12, implementing therapy plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and providing consistent, supportive care across sessions. The role involves spending most of the workday engaged with children and being on your feet. The organization practices assent-based, neuroaffirming care: staff follow each child’s lead, honor boundaries, and build trust before working on skills. Behavior Technicians collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment with occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and mental health professionals. No prior clinical experience is required; paid training and support toward RBT certification are provided. Full-time and part-time schedules are available at the Bucktown location. Full-time schedules run Monday–Friday with an 8 a.m. or 9 a.m. start. Part-time schedules offer 8 a.m., 12 p.m., or 3 p.m. starts, require Saturdays, and have a minimum of 15 hours per week. The posting lists compensation of $19–$22.50 per hour, performance-based raises every six months, and a higher rate upon RBT certification. Full-time and part-time benefits differ.
