The Behavior Technician will provide a highly structured approach that relies on behavioral principles to support students at Jaworek Elementary School. This role involves running programs for pre-determined skills, collecting and graphing data on student progress, and assisting students in generalizing learned skills. The technician will also implement play plans, facilitate social interactions, and gather/create materials for educational programs. This position requires working with students who may exhibit challenging behaviors and implementing specific behavior protocols, including crisis prevention techniques and physical restraints/escorts as needed. The technician will consult with various educational professionals, complete daily home communication logs, and attend required meetings and trainings. The work year is 214 days, including a Summer Program, with an effective date of employment as soon as possible.
