About The Position

As a Behavior Technician (BT) at New Story Schools, you’ll provide one-on-one and small-group support to students in home and community settings. You’ll implement individualized plans that build academic, social, and life skills, helping each learner grow in confidence and independence. Working within a collaborative, mission-driven team, you’ll play a vital role in creating meaningful progress for students with special needs. At New Story Schools, we serve students ages 5–21 with autism and emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. Guided by individualized learning, therapeutic integration, and collaboration, we empower students to grow and prepare for meaningful adult lives. Requirements

• Associate’s degree or a minimum of 48 semester credit hours from an accredited institution
• At least three months of professional or internship experience supporting individuals with behavioral or learning differences
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and active auto insurance coverage
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educators
• Ability to remain patient, adaptable, and professional in dynamic learning environments

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized instruction based on each student’s IEP goals
• Support students with autism and other learning differences in home and community settings
• Implement evidence-based strategies to promote academic, behavioral, and life skill growth
• Collect and report data to monitor student progress and guide instructional decisions
• Partner with families, teachers, and clinicians to ensure consistency and support across environments
