About The Position

Centria is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism. The role involves implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills and reduce interfering behaviors. Comprehensive training is provided, including for candidates without prior experience. The work can involve unpredictable and potentially confrontational behavior, as well as substantial movement and physical activity. Requirements

• Passion for helping children with autism.
• Patience, compassion, and ability to work well in a team environment.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications and a tuberculosis test if one has not been completed in the last year.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move through positions and activities including sitting, squatting, and bending.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
