Arabic Speaking Center-Based Behavior Technician
About The Position
Centria is seeking enthusiastic, Arabic-speaking Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism in a center-based setting. The Behavior Technician implements individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills and reduce interfering behaviors. Comprehensive training is provided, and prior experience is not required. The role involves active work with children who may be unpredictable or confrontational and requires comfort with frequent movement and physical activity. The position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children and their families.
Requirements
- Be passionate about helping children with autism.
- Be patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Be able to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications and a tuberculosis test if one has not been completed in the last year.
- Be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
- Be able to move through positions and activities including sitting, squatting, and bending.
- Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Be bilingual in Arabic.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a Behavioral Technician.
- Experience working with children with autism or other learning disabilities.
- Experience as a Teacher’s Aid, tutor, CNA, caregiver, or home health aide.
