About The Position

As a Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. The role requires patience, compassion, and the ability to work in a team. Comprehensive training will be provided, even for candidates without prior experience. The position involves physical activity, as clients move, requiring comfort with standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and carrying children or objects up to 50 pounds. The goal is to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families.

Requirements

  • Passionate about helping children with autism
  • Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
  • 18+ years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
  • Ability to pass a pre employment background check
  • Ability to move in various positions (sit, squad, bend, etc.)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
