This is a part-time morning rotation position. Morning shifts run from 8 am to 4 pm. The Behavior Technician will follow the person's care plan, ensuring all related documentation is completed accurately and timely. This role involves collecting data to drive positive behaviors, providing problem-solving assistance, and building confidence in individuals served by helping with various life skills such as meal planning, grocery shopping, housekeeping, cooking, organizational skills, financial management, and self-care. The technician will advocate for, support, and empower individuals by providing general skill training in real-world settings, supporting the development of decision-making skills, and assisting individuals in engaging with their community by transporting them via company vehicle. The role also includes coaching individuals through behavioral or mood escalations and emergency situations, maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, and adhering to all relevant policies and regulations, including HIPAA and those concerning vulnerable adults and children. Additional cross-functional duties may be assigned as necessary.
