About The Position

Butterfly Effects' Mission is to make a socially meaningful change in the lives of children and families by hiring passionate, caring people to serve children and families affected by autism. We are seeking dedicated Child Interventionists/Behavior Technicians, both entry-level and experienced, to directly assist children with autism in honing vital skills like communication, social interaction, and self-care. Join us in collaborating with families to execute ABA based behavior intervention plans. This is a permanent position requiring a 6-7-month availability commitment and is not suitable for a short-term summer role. This is a part-time role, weekdays only, requiring 15-20 hours weekly. Availability is needed Monday - Friday between 8:30 AM - 2 PM or Monday - Friday between 3 PM - 7 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A genuine love for working with children.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with children and families.
• Valid driver's license, personal vehicle, & Auto insurance with name listed.
• Must have a Tablet or Laptop computer to use during sessions (not just a smart phone).
• Must be able to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with children is advantageous.
• Interest in ongoing development.

Responsibilities

• Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
• Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
• Manages challenging behaviors.
• Apply behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
• Assist clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
• Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavioral analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
• Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
• Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent and timely manner through our on-line database.
• Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
• Maintains confidentiality of client information.
• Follows BE policies and procedures.
