About The Position

Autism Spectrum Connection (ASC) is a growing organization providing ABA Therapy services to children on the spectrum in the Inland Empire, Orange County, and High Desert areas. As a Behavior Technician (BT), you will work under a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement impactful care in home, school, and community settings, helping children reach their potential by learning new skills and achieving milestones.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ABA experience preferred
  • Pass background check
  • Reliable transportation
  • Multi-tasking skills
  • Effective oral, written, and reading communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person behavior intervention services in a home setting, school and community settings.
  • Collect and record data on child behaviors.
  • Help track progress, influence care plans, and celebrate milestones.
  • Partner closely with BCBAs and help inform treatment plans so children are receiving the best care possible.
  • Prepare various documentation as required.
  • Understand and implement the Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) as identified by the BCBA.
  • Observe, measure, and record behavior, identify progress and regression in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Prompt safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills.
  • Assures that behavior change is long lasting and demonstrates that the interventions being used are responsible for behavior changes.
  • Implement the treatment plan goals and interventions utilizing sound judgment and seeks out appropriate consultation.
  • Collaborates with family and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment.
  • Educate parents on reinforcement and early intervention information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
