About The Position

At Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center (ABTC), we are seeking compassionate, dependable, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. This role offers meaningful work that changes lives, providing training, support, and mentorship for those starting their careers or exploring the field of ABA. As a Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities. You will implement individualized treatment plans using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help build communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills. ABA is an evidence-based approach that supports children in learning skills for greater independence. Through personalized, engaging sessions, you will use positive reinforcement and individualized strategies to strengthen skills and help children navigate challenging behaviors. Each session is an opportunity to help a child build confidence, develop new skills, and become more independent at home and in the community.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Available a minimum of 15 hours per week
  • Afternoon/evening availability between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance and registration
  • Willing to travel up to 25 miles from your home for client sessions
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable learning data collection and behavior intervention techniques

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience working with children is a plus
  • Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clients' homes
  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA
  • Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills
  • Help reduce challenging behaviors using positive, evidence-based strategies
  • Collect accurate session data and complete clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with supervising clinicians to support client progress
  • Communicate professionally with families and caregivers
  • Attend ongoing training and team meetings
