About The Position

As a Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. The role involves working with children who may be unpredictable or confrontational and requires active movement, including standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and sometimes carrying children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Comprehensive training is provided, including onboarding toward obtaining Registered Behavior Technician Certification. The position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children and their families.

Requirements

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and a tuberculosis test if one has not been completed within the last year.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions, including sitting, squatting, and bending.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must obtain Registered Behavior Technician Certification after completing onboarding.
