About The Position

Step Forward ABA is seeking passionate individuals to join their team as Behavior Technicians (RBAI). This role involves working with children with Autism to help them develop essential skills, build confidence, and thrive. The position focuses on empowering children to reach their full potential through evidence-based ABA techniques, promoting independence, social skills, and personal growth via fun and interactive activities tailored to each child's unique needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent
Pass a National Criminal Background check
Completion of 40 Hours RBAI Training Required
Reliable transportation
Ability to physically engage with children in a fast-paced environment, lifting up to 30lbs and maintaining a safe and tidy workspace.
Must be willing to travel and work in-home settings.

Nice To Haves

RABI License preferred
Childcare (nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, tutor, etc.)
Mental health advocates and professionals (QMHP, behavioral health technicians)
Camp counselors, volunteers, youth faith group leaders or youth coaching
Degrees in special education, teaching, psychology, sociology, or related fields
Experience as direct support, paraprofessionals, or life skills assistants

Responsibilities

Work one-on-one with children using evidence-based ABA techniques to promote independence, social skills, and personal growth through fun and interactive activities tailored to each child's unique needs.
Teach skills to enhance communication and functioning.
Implement and facilitate behavior plans, monitor outcomes, and adjust strategies as needed.
Restructure environments to support positive outcomes and reduce problematic behaviors.
Collect data and maintain accurate records.
Communicate with behavior analysts, families, and peers to coordinate activities and advocate for individual needs.
Complete daily progress notes and maintain accurate records.
