Behavior Technician (BT)
About The Position
We are seeking dedicated Behavior Technicians (BTs) to deliver one-on-one ABA sessions with children diagnosed with autism, ADHD, and other developmental challenges. In this role, you will maintain continuous, attentive supervision of your client, respond immediately to behaviors that may present a risk of harm, and implement approved behavior intervention and crisis management techniques. You will collaborate daily with BCBAs and a multidisciplinary team, track session data, and celebrate progress with kids and families. This work is active, immersive, and demanding, requiring you to show up fully present.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years or older
- Reliable transportation, Monday–Friday, with full 8:00 AM–5:00 PM availability
- Comfort working independently in direct care settings
Nice To Haves
- BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR certification
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities
- RBT certification or completed 40-hour RBT training (no experience? no problem — we provide full training and cover your exam costs)
Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one ABA sessions with children with autism, ADHD, and other developmental challenges
- Maintain continuous, attentive supervision of your client throughout each session
- Respond immediately to client behaviors that may present a risk of harm, including running or sprinting when necessary to reach a child quickly
- Implement approved behavior intervention and crisis management techniques
- Collaborate daily with BCBAs and a multidisciplinary team (OT, PT, SLP)
- Track session data and celebrate real progress with kids and families
- Show up fully present — this work is active, immersive, and demanding, and the breakthroughs make it worth every bit of it
