About The Position

Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). They use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. Comprehensive training is provided, including for candidates without prior experience. The position involves working with children who may be unpredictable or confrontational and requires comfort with varied physical activity, including standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, and sometimes lifting or carrying children or objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Candidates must obtain Registered Behavior Technician certification after completing onboarding.

Requirements

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and a tuberculosis test if one has not been completed in the last year.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions, including sitting, squatting, and bending.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must obtain Registered Behavior Technician certification after completing onboarding.
