About The Position

Cortica is seeking part-time Behavior Technicians to join our team in Irvine. We are a team of doctors and therapists, specializing in neurodevelopmental disorders. As a BT at Cortica, you'll help children with autism build play, social, and daily life skills using ABA techniques, while gaining hands-on experience in psychology, education, and healthcare. All experience levels are welcome to apply. We’ll train you and cover all certification costs. At its core, ABA is based on the idea that behavior can be studied and improved. By identifying what motivates behavior, we can teach new skills, encourage helpful behaviors, and reduce maladaptive behaviors.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children (autism experience is a plus!)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to attend the first two weeks of training: Monday through Friday between 2:30-7 PM
  • Commitment to the shift selected for a minimum of 6+ months
  • Reliable transportation: Able to travel up to 30-40 minutes between sessions

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and group ABA services to children in clients homes/in-clinic
  • Document session data to track and support treatment goals.
  • Collaborate closely with families and supervisors to build supportive environments.
  • Follow Cortica's crisis protocols, including de-escalation and mandated reporting.
