Behavior Technician/Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and skilled Behavioral Specialist to join our team and help individuals develop the tools they need to navigate daily life with confidence and independence. As a Behavioral Technician/Specialist, you will provide individualized behavioral support to children and adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs. Working closely with participants, families, clinicians, and support staff, you will implement positive behavioral supports, teach replacement skills, and develop strategies that help individuals achieve meaningful personal goals. This is a highly interactive and rewarding role for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving challenges, and celebrating progress. You will support individuals in their homes, programs, and communities by helping them strengthen communication, emotional regulation, social skills, daily living skills, and community engagement. Through person-centered approaches and evidence-based interventions, you will play a key role in creating opportunities for greater independence, self-confidence, and quality of life. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of two years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, or related populations in a residential, educational, or community-based setting.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
- Ability to safely operate agency vehicles and transport individuals as needed.
- Ability to successfully pass a National Criminal Background Check and all applicable pre-employment screenings.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, evenings, weekends, and during inclement weather when necessary to meet program needs.
- Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and transfer up to 100 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Commitment to person-centered supports, professional development, and promoting the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
