About The Position

Verbal Beginnings is a leading Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy provider dedicated to unlocking the potential of children ages 2–18 diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). As a Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in our in-home program, you will work one-on-one with children with autism in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. Under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), every session is an opportunity to help a child speak their first words, try a new food, make a friend, or gain independence in daily life. You will implement individualized treatment plans targeting communication, behavior, feeding, activities of daily living (ADLs), and social skills — making a measurable difference in each child's journey.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation (required for in-home travel)
Patience, compassion, and a genuine commitment to helping children with autism reach their goals
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a care team
Perform physical activities including reaching, grasping, walking briskly, running, sitting on the floor, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and transitioning quickly between positions throughout the day.
Communicate clearly and effectively using verbal and non-verbal methods appropriate for each child.
Successfully complete Safety Care training and annual re-certifications, including carrying children per Safety Care protocols. Active participation in Safety Care is a condition of employment.

Bachelor's Degree (completed or in progress)
6+ months of experience working with children

Responsibilities

Travel to clients' homes and provide one-on-one ABA therapy in a naturalistic, home-based setting.
Implement individualized, evidence-based ABA treatment plans designed by a supervising BCBA to address each child's unique goals.
Collect and record precise data to track each child's progress and inform ongoing treatment updates.
Collaborate with your supervising BCBA and the child's family to ensure consistency and carry-over of skills in the home environment.
Build positive, trusting relationships with children and their families.
