Behavior Technician (RBT) - Gaithersburg, Maryland
About The Position
Helping Hands Family is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician to provide personalized, play-based ABA therapy to children with autism and help them reach developmental milestones. The role provides one-on-one direct care in clinics, clients’ homes, or community settings. Technicians teach daily living and social skills using evidence-based treatments and positive reinforcement, implement therapy sessions designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), collect behavior data, and collaborate with the team to support each child’s progress. New hires must complete company-provided RBT training and pass the RBT exam within 90 days of hire. Employment offers are contingent on successful completion of comprehensive background screening, and new hires must complete E-Verify. Helping Hands Family does not provide immigration sponsorship.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Comfort working with children.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, running, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients’ families.
- Reliable transportation.
- Willingness to complete company-provided RBT training and pass the RBT exam within 90 days of hire.

- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a human services area preferred.
