The Behavior Technician PRN for the Behavior Improvement Center (BIC) program works as part of a treatment team, reporting to the BIC Senior Manager and supervised by the Assistant Team Supervisor (ATS). This role involves providing direct one-on-one and small group training using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) procedures for individuals diagnosed with autism and/or an intellectual developmental disability (IDD) who exhibit challenging behaviors such as aggression, disruption, non-compliance, and self-abuse. The technician will focus on skill acquisition in areas like self-help, academics, social interaction, communication, vocational skills, and basic attending skills. Responsibilities include conducting direct observations, collecting and summarizing data, organizing treatment rooms, documenting training progress, and implementing SAMA and physical prompts. The role requires high energy and enthusiasm for intense one-on-one and group training settings. The technician may also assist BCBAs in conducting sessions, entering data into the billing system, and transporting clients to and from the clinic. Clinical supervision is provided by the team supervisor and behavior analysts.
