YCTH Behavioral Technician II
About The Position
Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) is seeking a passionate Behavior Technician II to work with individuals living with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and mental health challenges residing in our Youth Crisis Therapeutic Home (YCTH) in Culpeper, VA. This role focuses on equipping individuals with the tools, coping skills, and support to prevent hospitalization and crisis. The Behavior Technician II will facilitate daily programs and rehabilitative activities, provide therapeutic interventions, and assist with personal care. As a member of the REACH team, you will collaborate closely with participants' primary care providers, community crisis services, and families to ensure comprehensive support.
Requirements
- Experience working with IDD/Behavioral Health (BH) disorders required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Service field of study, or QMHP (trainee)
- The ability to register as a Qualified Mental Health Professional Trainee and be approved within 30 days of hire
- Maintain valid state appropriate driver’s license and auto insurance for personal and agency vehicles utilized for work
Responsibilities
- Facilitating daily programs and rehabilitative activities
- Providing therapeutic interventions
- Assisting with personal care
- Working closely with participants' primary care providers, community crisis services, and families to ensure comprehensive support for those referred to the home.
