About The Position

Verbal Beginnings is hiring part-time Behavior Technicians (BTs) or Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) for its in-home ABA program in Virginia. The role is field based, providing one-on-one therapy to children with autism in their homes and other natural environments. Technicians work under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans addressing communication, behavior, feeding, activities of daily living, and social skills. Technicians collect and record data to track progress, collaborate with supervising BCBAs and families to support consistent skill development, and build positive relationships with children and their families. The schedule is part-time, with afternoon and evening hours. Compensation is $23–$32 per hour, based on experience and certifications. Applicants who are not RBT-certified must complete the RBT coursework and pass the RBT exam within 90 days of hire. The employer provides training and support for this process. The role also requires successful completion of Safety Care training and annual recertifications, including carrying children according to Safety Care protocols.
