About The Position

Join our Day Program for Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities as a Specialized Direct Support Professional with Behaviors Expertise. This role focuses on assisting a young adult male client within a fun, social, and activities-based program that includes education, socialization, and community volunteer activities. The program aims to help adults with special needs realize their possibilities, expand their horizons, and achieve their goals, promoting independence, inclusion, and growth.

Requirements

Must be experienced in this field with Behaviors expertise.
Kind, patient, and adaptable.
Personable and motivated to help participants pursue their goals and interests.
Enjoy physical activity (especially walking and basketball).
Comfortable learning to communicate with someone who is non-verbal.
Available Mondays - Fridays from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
At least 21 years of age.
Licensed driver for a minimum of three years.
Own insured vehicle with name listed on proof of insurance as an authorized driver.
Willing to commute to the North Hollywood area (and surrounding communities).
Willing to drive personal vehicle with a client.
Willing to drive a company van on the job with multiple clients.
Available for 3-to-10 days of in-office training at ETTA offices in North Hollywood (Mondays - Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. / half days may be possible upon request).
Live Scan (DOJ / FBI) background check required.
