About The Position

Merakey is seeking a Behavior Support Professional to conduct observations in various settings and comprehensive Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) for presenting issues, including aggression, self-injurious behavior, adverse mental health symptoms, law-offending behavior, and other identified concerns. The role collaborates with individuals, their families, and support teams to develop and maintain Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), and trains and mentors support team members in implementing those plans. The professional completes timely documentation, including data collection, progress reporting, and the development and revision of BSPs. The position pays $22.18 per hour.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or master's degree.
• At least 2 years of experience developing and implementing Behavior Support Plans under the supervision of an individual with a master's degree in Human Services, Education, Psychology, Social Work, or Special Education.
• Demonstrated ability to support individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to write and edit plans incorporating Positive Behavior Supports.
• Competency in writing support plans and effective verbal communication skills.
• Ability to train and mentor others.
• Ability to perform duties with limited supervision.
• Experience working with adults with IDD and with a mental health diagnosis or autism.

Responsibilities
