About The Position

Supports Bridgewell's mission by providing behavior support services to the residential and/or day services programs. Works in coordination with the behavior analysts, supervisors, program directors, and staff in the assessment, planning, implementation, and monitoring of behavior supports that meet regulatory requirements of DDS and Mass Health.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Psychology or related field.
  • At least two years of relevant experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or as related to targeted positions/programs (ID/DD, ASD, psychiatric disabilities).
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Strong clinical skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral concepts and techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and foster positive relationships with funding sources
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to drive a vehicle.
  • Requires acceptable CORI results according to Bridgewell policy.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the process of behavior assessment to contribute to the design of behavior support strategies.
  • Work in conjunction with Behavior Analysts to develop and provide materials related to behavioral strategies to program staff.
  • Participate directly in the development, training, monitoring, and documentation of behavioral supports focused on interactional guidelines and antecedent-based strategies.
  • Provide directed behavior support to individuals served as outlined in Behavior Support/Management Plans, antecedent management approaches, and other generalized support strategies.
  • Assist with program documentation related to the occurrence of targeted aberrant and replacement behaviors, including data collection, incident/restraint reports, development of graphical displays, and data summaries.
  • Participate in the monitoring of treatment implementation and assessment of treatment integrity.
  • Provide support to programs with corollary support plans such as Medication Treatment Plans, Restriction Plans, and Supportive & Protective Device forms.
  • Develop and provide training to program staff focused on behavioral principles, data/data collection processes, basic behavior change/skill building strategies, and directed illness/disorder topics.
  • Assist staff or others in locating and obtaining needed or related resources for individuals.
  • Participate in relevant meetings with DDR and relevant supervisor groups within the agency as needed.
  • Participate in the agency's referral/assessment processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
