The Behavior Specialist will provide direct services, including crisis support for behaviors and stakeholder triage as needed. This role involves training direct care staff, collaborating with families, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure consistency across settings, and serving as a liaison between YMCA programs and school-based or other teams working with children and families. The specialist will also work in collaboration with YMCA social workers/SEL team, collect and analyze behavioral data to inform interventions and program decisions, and maintain compliance with ethical guidelines and YMCA policies. Responsibilities include attending team meetings, trainings, and family consultations, as well as providing consultation and coaching to program staff on implementing behavior strategies and supports.
