About The Position

To provide specialized, professional-level consultation to adults with developmental disabilities, focusing on reducing challenging behaviors while fostering positive, community-based growth. To create individualized support plans, train caregivers and data-driven strategies to improve the quality of life for our individuals.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling or a related field with specific coursework (one is psychometric testing, two in behavior analysis/intervention) and must have one year of professional experience in developing behavior plan for individuals with IDD OR Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field including one course in psychometric testing and two courses in behavioral science and must have two years of professional experience creating behavioral plans for IDD population
  • BCBA or BCaBA certification
  • CPR/First Aid
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Personal car insurance with liability

Responsibilities

  • Design and write individualized Behavior Support Plan that focuses on positive reinforcement, skill acquisition and environmental modifications.
  • Develop proactive strategies to minimize triggers and reactive strategies for safe crisis management.
  • Provide direct, on-sight training to caregivers, family members and DSPs on the implementation of the BSP.
  • Conduct field checks to ensure staff are following the plan exactly as written and provide corrective coaching when necessary.
  • Provide direct training on proper documentation in Therap for DSPs
  • Ensure all BSPs are current, reviewed annually, and updated immediately following significant clinical changes or environmental shifts.
  • Audit and maintain individual EMR to ensure that the most recent, approved versions of BSPs are accurately uploaded and accessible to all service providers.
