Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Availability Monday–Friday during school hours (typically 7:00/7:30 AM – 3:00/4:30 PM)
  • Experience working with children or as a caregiver
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to follow direction from teachers and supervisors

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification
  • Paraprofessional certification or similar
  • Experience working in a school setting

Responsibilities

  • Support classroom teachers and case managers in implementing academic and behavioral goals
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students with special needs
  • Provide behavior support and interventions
  • Assist with crisis intervention when needed
  • Support Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
  • Help students develop independence with daily living skills
  • Collect and record data accurately
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
