About The Position

As a Behavior Specialist, you will work to help kids build communication, social, and life skills using play, games, and evidence-based strategies. This role requires bringing energy and compassion to each session, which can take place at a child’s home, one of CSD’s centers, or out in the community. You will follow personalized plans designed by clinical leaders and celebrate milestones. It is a flexible, on-the-go role where no two days are the same. Prior experience is not required as CSD provides training and support.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Flexible availability (especially Mon–Fri afternoons/evenings + Saturdays)
  • Proof of vaccinations (MMR, Varicella, COVID – CA mandated)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Comfort working with diverse populations
  • Willingness to complete training and documentation
  • Ability to frequently sit and stand; keeping pace with your client
  • Enjoy working with children and making a difference
  • Be patient, dependable, and compassionate
  • Communicate clearly and work well as part of a team
  • Thrive in structured, school-based environments
