The job of Behavior Interventionist is to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services and implement Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS), along with other evidence-based practices, under the direction and close supervision of a Supervisor (Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Competent Learner Model (CLM) Program Coordinator. This position is responsible for delivering direct behavioral intervention to preschool through transition-aged students who exhibit intensive behavioral needs. Duties include conducting objective observations, collecting and recording data, and supporting both skill acquisition and behavior reduction goals. The Behavior Interventionist also provides training, coaching, and modeling through Behavior Skills Training (BST) methods to support entry-level and less experienced Instructional Assistants and certificated staff. Collaboration with all team members is essential to ensure consistency and alignment in student programming and behavioral support plans. This role requires strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep commitment to promoting positive student outcomes through structured, evidence-based approaches. This job reports to DESIGNATED ADMINISTRATOR.
