About The Position

Hamidian Training Institute, affiliated with the Aaron Center, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Consultant (BC-ABA) to join our growing behavioral health team. We are committed to providing high-quality, individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services that empower children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team in a supportive clinical environment. The Behavior Consultant serves as the lead clinician in the delivery of intensive behavioral health services. This role involves conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment and behavioral support plans, supervising Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs), collaborating with families and providers, and monitoring treatment progress to ensure quality clinical outcomes.

Requirements

  • Candidates must meet one of the following Pennsylvania requirements for Behavior Consultants providing ABA services:
  • Be licensed in Pennsylvania as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, behavior specialist, certified registered nurse practitioner, or another professional whose scope of practice includes oversight of ABA services, and meet one of the following:
  • Hold a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) certification or another undergraduate-level behavior analysis certification accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
  • Have at least one year of full-time experience providing ABA services and a minimum of 12 college credits in Applied Behavior Analysis from an accredited institution.
  • Have at least one year of full-time experience providing ABA services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or equivalent graduate-level certification, along with a minimum of 40 hours of Department-approved or Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)-approved ABA training.
  • Or be licensed in Pennsylvania as a psychologist with at least one year of full-time ABA experience and a minimum of 40 hours of Department-approved or BACB-approved ABA training.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans and behavioral support plans.
  • Conduct behavioral assessments and evaluate the strengths and needs of children and their families.
  • Oversee the implementation of treatment plans and monitor client progress through data collection and analysis.
  • Supervise Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT-ABA and BHT) and provide ongoing clinical guidance.
  • Provide consultation to treatment team members regarding treatment recommendations and behavioral interventions.
  • Lead and participate in monthly treatment team meetings with families and collaborating providers.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, schools, physicians, therapists, psychiatrists, probation officers, and other service providers.
  • Develop crisis plans to assist families during emergency or crisis situations.
  • Maintain assigned caseload while providing services within authorized treatment hours.
  • Complete documentation accurately using agency-approved formats within required timelines.
  • Maintain regular face-to-face communication with families, schools, and community partners.
  • Attend interagency meetings, staff meetings, and required trainings.
  • Participate in at least one hour of monthly supervision with a BCBA.
  • Maintain compliance with Hamidian Training Institute policies, Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services (BHRS) regulations, HIPAA standards, and ethical guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
