About The Position

This is a full-time/part-time position on the 3rd shift (11pm-9am) at the Cedartown Campus in Cedartown, GA. The Behavior Aide is responsible for ensuring the safety and basic emotional needs of residents are met through supervision and individual attention. The role involves serving as a positive role model, supporting the organization's philosophy and policies, and assisting residents in meeting their goals through the plan of care. Responsibilities also include maintaining cottage cleanliness, participating in resident activities, assisting with transportation, completing mandatory training, and maintaining necessary certifications.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Basic computer knowledge required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

• Associate Degree or higher preferred
• two years of direct care experience preferred
• Experience working with adolescents

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and basic emotional needs of the residents are met, providing the necessary supervision and individual attention.
• Serve as a role model to communicate and support the basic philosophy, policies, rules, procedures and programs to our residents.
• Provide various aspects of the plan of care for the residents, including proper documentation, and encouraging/ supporting residents in meeting their goals.
• Maintain cottage cleanliness.
• Participate in activities with residents, and assist with transportation needs as assigned.
• Complete the mandatory annual training requirements as assigned.
• Become certified and maintain certification in the physical restraint method licensed to be performed when necessary.
• Maintain CPR and 1st Aid certifications.
• Maintain certification to administer medications.
