About The Position

Position available for the 2026-2027 School Year- 4 Day School Week. The primary purpose of this role is to help meet the physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom. The aide will assist in the implementation of classroom programs, including self-help, behavior management, and instruction programs. This role works under the general supervision of the principal and the immediate direction of a certified teacher.

Requirements

• High school diploma or hold a General Educational Development (GED) certificate
• Have met formal academic assessment, associate’s degree, or two years of study at an institution of higher learning
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate
• Ability to work with children with disabilities
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Knowledge of general office equipment
• Some experience working with children
