About The Position

Responsible for manufacturing composite components to required specifications through efficient operation of pultrusion and extrusion equipment. This position conforms to, and suggests improvements for, Marvin Composites’ Quality Management System.

Requirements

  • High School or GED preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs pultrusion/extrusion quality checks on pultrusions being produced
  • Performs proper glass splicing techniques
  • Performs proper set-up and shut-down procedures
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble pultrusion dies
  • Knows proper care of pultrusion and extrusion tooling
  • Understands proper fiber loading of pultrusions
  • Accurately identify raw materials that are inputs in the pultrusion and extrusion process
  • Troubleshoots and corrects pultrusion and extrusion related defects
  • Monitors process through documentation of processing variables
  • Performs other duties as apparent/assigned/dictated by schedule load
  • Provides on-the-job training to assigned associates based on skill needs
  • Follows the approved quality practices of Marvin Composites’ Quality Management System and suggests improvements
  • Expected to serve as a Pultrusion Inspector as business needs require
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area
  • Conducts tasks involving management of hazardous waste streams
  • Stand/work for a 12-hour shift
