Beginner Tennis Instructor
About The Position
Euro School of Tennis is hiring friendly and reliable tennis coaches to teach beginner-level tennis to children in Grades K–3 at various elementary schools across the Bay Area. Training, lesson plans, equipment, and coaching support are provided. The role offers flexible, part-time, in-person work and is suitable for students, tennis players, and aspiring coaches who want to gain coaching experience and potentially learn other sports and grow professionally. Classes are generally 1–1.5 hours long and may start between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Two or more days per week are preferred; the posting lists approximately 2–5 hours weekly. Compensation is $50–$65 per hour, with the posting also describing pay as $50–$65 per class.
Requirements
- Must be 19 years or older.
- Enjoy working with children.
- Be reliable, positive, and willing to learn.
- Have good communication and classroom management skills.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Be able to complete a background check and meet vaccination requirements.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice To Haves
- Tennis playing or coaching experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach fun and engaging beginner tennis lessons to children in Grades K–3.
- Manage groups of 8–10 children.
- Set up equipment and take attendance.
- Keep classes safe, active, and enjoyable.
- Communicate with parents and school staff.
