About The Position
Swim&Gym Summer Camp is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Beginner Gymnastics Instructor to join our summer team! This is a fun, part-time opportunity to work with children ages 5–12 in a supportive, high-energy camp environment.
Requirements
- Experience teaching or coaching beginner gymnastics, tumbling, or youth fitness
- Ability to manage groups of children and keep them engaged
- Positive, energetic, and patient personality
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to collaborate and adapt lesson plans as needed
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging beginner-level gymnastics/tumbling instruction for campers ages 5–12
- Plan and teach lessons for groups of approximately 25 children (split into smaller groups with staff support)
- Run 45-minute instructional sessions (5–6 groups total, with two lessons per group each week)
- Utilize available equipment such as mats, low balance beams, a kids’ kip bar, inflatable floor mat, and more
- Incorporate creative movement and general fitness using additional sports equipment
- Work alongside counselors and counselors-in-training to ensure a safe, fun, and inclusive environment
