Assist students with severe special education needs by helping individuals or small groups of students with curriculum, implementing programming, generalizing learned skills, and implementing behavior strategies. This role follows and enforces Colorado Department of Early Childhood licensing requirements, assists children with program activities, and adapts programming to individual needs. The position involves providing technical physical care, administering medication, implementing child accommodations and behavior strategies, and maintaining records of progress and behavior. Safety protocols are paramount, including preventing self-harm and harm to others, and assisting in the development of social interactions. The role also supports the program director and staff with materials, attendance, documentation, and program events. Excellent communication with parents, students, staff, and co-workers is essential, as is maintaining confidentiality. Participation in professional development is required.
