About The Position

AlphaBEST Education provides extended-day, summer, and enrichment programs designed to inspire and engage students as they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment. As an AlphaBEST Site Director, you'll lead a meaningful after-school program that helps kids learn, grow, and thrive. We're looking for an early learning professional who enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment, feels confident taking the lead and running a smooth program, takes pride in delivering a high-quality student and family experience, takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely, and is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed.

Requirements

  • CPR and First Aid certification required (can be obtained within first 30 days of employment)
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership and supervision preferred
  • Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
  • Must be 21 years of age according to licensing regulations.
  • Site Directors must meet 1 of the following requirements: a. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field from a regionally accredited college or university. (Determination of "related field" shall be made by the Division); b. Bachelor's Degree in a non-related field from a regionally accredited college or university, plus one (1) of the following: Four (4) years of experience in early childhood education; Child Development Associate Credential (CDA); or Birth – Pre-K Credential. c. Associate degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field, plus six (6) years of experience in Early Childhood Education; or d. Eight (8) years of experience in Early Childhood Education and completion of one (1) of the following, within two (2) years of employment: Child Development Associate Credential; Birth – Pre-K Credential; Director's Credential or the equivalent; or Technical Certificate in Early Childhood Education.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the site: schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation
  • Oversee/facilitate curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations
  • Build a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards
  • Make child safety the top priority at all times
  • Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections
  • Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements
  • Supervise and mentor your site team, providing coaching and feedback, and ensuring training requirements are met
  • Represent AlphaBEST with professionalism at school and community events
  • Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success
